We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced International Controller to join a dynamic and growing saas organisation. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and compliance within a global organisation. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial information while driving continuous improvement within the finance function. For this firm a strong presence is essential; you will be in the office regularly to support your team to achieve their objectives while partnering with the wider business.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Oversee the preparation and timely filing of accurate and compliant financial statements under various accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, key performance indicator (KPI) tracking, and trend analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and present insightful financial reports and presentations to senior management.

Accounting Operations:

  • Manage and supervise all aspects of the accounting cycle, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee the order-to-cash cycle, including order processing, invoicing, and collections.

Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals.
  • Maintain a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.

Strategic Planning & Analysis:

  • Contribute to the development of short-term and long-term financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Provide strategic financial advice and recommendations to exec leaders on key business decisions.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) preferred.
  • Vast experience in a senior accounting or finance role, with a strong emphasis on international financial reporting.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing high-performing accounting teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
