We’re looking for a Systems Accountant to take ownership of both the finance function and the internal ERP system, playing a vital role in shaping financial strategy and ensuring robust operational performance.

What You’ll Be DoingYou will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial management activities, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. Additionally, you’ll lead the administration and optimisation of the ERP system to ensure it meets evolving business needs.

The Role:

  • Take ownership of the internal ERP system, leading system improvements, ensuring data integrity, and aligning functionality with business processes.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Liaise with external accountants and support the production of statutory accounts and year-end audits.
  • Manage all finance and accounting operations, including payroll and ledger management.
  • Provide in-depth financial analysis to support commercial decision-making and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and profitability.
  • Build and maintain financial models to forecast scenarios and assess potential business outcomes.
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital; oversee debtor management and treasury deposits to enhance financial stability.
  • Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and safeguard assets.
  • Lead the coordination of the annual budgeting process and produce rolling 12-month forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Operations team to ensure accurate alignment between the sales pipeline and revenue forecasts.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a financial management role with exposure to ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong grasp of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll and day-to-day accounting operations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Comfortable working both strategically and operationally in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
