Job Description

The VP will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, compliance, internal controls, and order and fulfillment processing across the organisation. This role will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with industry standards, manage accounting operations, and drive the strategic vision for accounting functions in alignment with company goals.

We are Hiring VP of Accounting within SaaS

The VP will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, compliance, internal controls, and order and fulfilment processing across the organisation. This role will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with industry standards, manage accounting operations, and drive the strategic vision for accounting functions in alignment with company goals.

We seek a person who has spent most of their career working within software/saas.

The Role:

  • Oversee the entire accounting function, including financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, tax reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to accounting team members.
  • Oversee the invoicing & fulfilment department, ensuring timely and accurate billing of clients and customers.
  • Manage the fulfilment workflow to ensure the efficient and accurate recording of orders, transactions, and related financial data.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure that invoicing and fulfilment are aligned with business operations and customer expectations.
  • Ensure the preparation and timely filing of accurate financial statements in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Review internal and external audit results and ensure compliance with all accounting standards and company policies.
  • Support the CFO in developing financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial planning.
  • Provide actionable insights and analyses to guide strategic business decisions

Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
  • Professional accounting certification (required)
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred).
  • 10+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, internal controls, and risk management.
