Job Description

YellowBricks are hiring a person to join a global software company as Data Protection Counsel, we are seeking experience within Legal, Cyber Security, Privacy and Technical. In this job role, you will support the business by offering insight and advice into various topics that best protect the business and clients. We are looking for this person to be located either in Ireland or the UK.

Duties:

  • Provide counsel to the business community around privacy and data principles and requirements
  • Keep abreast of data and privacy laws, making changes and improvements internally as a result
  • Carry out risk assessments and review policies as a result
  • Responsible for negotiating contract terms relating to software licenses and technology privacy
  • Maintaining an awareness of industry and regulatory developments
  • Collaborate with colleagues in sharing knowledge and direction around GDPR and privacy
  • Coach colleagues on best practice

Required:

  • Team player, supportive and collaborative
  • Experience working within a law firm will be helpful
  • Proven background advising on cyber risk, privacy and data protection is essential
  • A background working for an international team is desired
  • A certification within Privacy is desired
