Did you decide it was time for a new job only to be shocked by how difficult it actually is? Is it time to learn How to Take Control of Your Career Growth in 2025

It’s stressful being on the back foot, panic can lead to bad decisions and before you know it, you have looped and are in another poor company and at risk 🥴

Put your long game plan into action right now with my easy-to-start tips on How to Take Control of Your Career Growth in 2025.

It’s time to invest in yourself

As we have seen in the evolution of business, no job is certain anymore, it is time to really protect yourself, and invest some time into yourself by building an emergency exit plan so that you are not at the mercy of changing winds.

The long game is calling; what would happen if the rug was pulled tomorrow? Would it hurt? If yes, clear some time to focus on you and How to Take Control of Your Career Growth in 2025.

Did you ever ghost someone only to realise later that they could have helped you? If so, it’s time to put the ghost strategy in the bin and be present, or you might find yourself ghosted back when you need an expert most. Build your network with people who can advise you on your options and help when the time is right.

1.    Get your CV in order, if it’s not been touched in 5 years start again; the task will be thought-provoking; try hard not to pay someone to do it for you; you will miss an opportunity to reflect, also, we can tell.

2.    Build a network, a handful of recruitment/search professionals to look after your long-term interests, like a personal advisor, the connect who gets you on the best guest lists.

3.    Be alert to your current organisation’s trajectory and how it matches your values, take notice of changing moods and optimising so that you can spot risks to your role, keep notes on what is happening and review regularly.

4.    Lean in when opportunities are discussed or your expertise or point of view is required.

5.    Don’t make excuses as to why you can’t, instead, think cleverly about how you can.

Help future you, be prepared, open and positive about your USP (the credible, highly employable, wonderful you).

We hope that putting these things into action will make it clearer and help you understand How to Take Control of Your Career Growth in 2025.
